Default d15 vtec help!!! crank sensor code in limp mode!

Ok. I have searched and tried tons of different things, but cant figure it out. I swapped this d15 vtec sohc into a 89 civic hatch dx. I have tried 3 different ecu's, but I get the same thing. I made sure timing is right on and idle is perfect. It seems like as soon as I get 3k rpms the rev limiter kicks in or something. I have 6 days to finish this so it can drive 350 miles. I relly need help from you smart guys on this one. So you all know, I did the DPFI to MPFI conversion with a vtec controller. I have tried a 2- 88-91 si ecu's , 1- 90-93 b18a ecu, and a ZC ecu. they all do the same thing. I have tried a b18a distributor and a d16a6 distributor. I cant figure this out please help me!!!

Why didnt u just convert to OBD1? This is why its best to convert... Just to avoid a wiring and troubleshooting nightmare... Now you have an OBD1 engine, in an OBD0 car, you have wiring for MPFI and on top of that you have a VTEC controller... Sounds like you have one big mess on your hands...

I dont know for sure, but I seem to remember something about the TPS wires on a DX with the MPFI swap have to be flip flopped or something... Sounds like it might just be your problem... Ill look it up and edit or post back if I find anything on it...

K here this may help...

I dont know about the crank angle sensor code... But I believe its in the distributor... So check the wiring there...
