d15b7 turbo help
i swapping out my jdm b18b for a d15b7 turbo.. here is the problem.. confused about what turbo setup i should go.. i bought a s15 t28 turbo and stock downpipe and oil kit and boost gauge..
how do i tap my oil pan and intercooler piping in confusing.. can i jus buy a intercooler piping kit on ebay and would it bolt right up??

i don't have a turbo... but from my multitudes of reading you should not go more than 6 psi on an engine will all stock internals. as far as the intercooler goes, all of my friends with turbo on their swaps had to do custom piping so i suggest you look to see what you need and then see if those pre-fabbed kits will meet your needs and have all of the parts.

Filter -> Turbo -> Intercooler -> Engine. The blow-off valve is welded in between the intercooler and throttle body.
The ebay kits are a collection of bent pipes, cheap couplings and cheaper clamps. Don't buy them, they are not fitted to your car and do not have rolled edges.

why would i swap it out?? well in reality if you really think about it.. if you are lazy and live in cailfornia and don't wanna bar you LS in a crx then its gonna be consider illegal to have.. if you are smart and drive around the city and take the small street you be fine with a swap... but why spend all that money fixing that b18b for example.. my bolt for the motor mount bracket snap in half.. made me mad cost me 50 bucks to drill it out.. i try to do it myself but it was to deep.. then i had bad clutch problem.. a new clutch ran me 300 .. thats because i prefer using a 6puck ACT.. i spent a lot of money fixing that b18b just to hit mid 14's... why i could go singo cam with turbo.. use a heat sheild to block my turbo and drive in the city knowing the cops are to smart to find the turbo.. and i will still be able to run 14's... with the bov .. i love it.. plus d series parts are cheaper.. if i was gonna go all out.. of course b series is a great choice but daily driven.. d series will do the same job.. plus you are the underdog.. give me your thoughts..
Believe me, if its illegal they will find it regaurdless... They know all the signs of engine upgrades... And an intercooler, piping, and a BOV arent hard to find... Cops are smarter than most ppl give them credit for... But my point was, why downgrade a D series (and the b7 of all D series), when u can just boost the B? All youd need is a B series manifold... I mean you already have the B in there... And screw 14s, hitting 13s would be a possibility with the right tuning and driving... Course you still have legality issues being in California... But if Im not mistaken, I think boosting is legal to some degreee atleast, so long as u get it ref'd and keep it within a certain range...

of course they will find a turbo in my crx if i go sohc.. but at least it would be eaiser for me to smog if i get caught.. both ways i go .. i will get in trouble but remember i don't want to go all out.. b series parts are expensive and 13's are easy to do with a sohc.. just have to get the right setup... b7 is jus as good as a6.. boosting a b series is illegal having a b series motor without state ref is illegal.. the majority of people that live in fresno isn't BAR ceriftied.. smoggin is a big issue in cailfornia and cops are getting racers, meaning harssing them for no reason.. the only reason is suspision.. D series .. when i am done i let you know what is my quartermile time and give you my setup.. right now i am on a family vacation so i am low budget right now.. give me a week and i let you know what turbo setup i am gonin to go and i post up pix and let honda acura member where i got my stuff from..
