Uhh, who lives in SoCal?

I may have been embelishing a tad with the mini van comment... But yes, in order to get any power at all, you will have to rev it way up... The 1.5/1.6 liter engines have VERY little torque stock (hence why the B16A is called the 'torqueless wonder')... And when you have an aftermarket exhaust, and rev it up to get going in traffic, ppl think your trying to race them...

Default about the b16

my g/f bought a 93 civic with a b16 in it. now in stock format i think it suck 'cause you do have to rev alil bit high to get it going, but it has a high rev limit so you make the decision. personally i feel more comfortable with my 62 hp beast than with her b16 (in stock format that is) but if you go turbo then the b16 may be just for you as there is 'a bit of aftermarket and you can find a a few bolt ons'. personally once i get my betsie's frame fixed, i wanna save up for a b18c ... but that's just me. My personal reaction to the b16 in my gf's car (the only one i have touched) ...*thud* (the sound of my jaw dropping in dis-amazement!)

'..' denotes sarcasm as a few people in this forum (as i have been reading lately) do not have sarcasm meters.

Boosted d series way cheaper than a B series way more power and oh yeah b series sucks and they are overrated. Even with a a A6 with just I/H/E I ran identical times with a I/E B16 del sol at the 1/4 mile.
