I have a 90 dx crx..Last night i went to take the car for a ride cause i didnt start it for a very long time.....THen once i pulled in to my driveway the car just died out..BUt the lights were still on and the radio was still on..BUt the car would not start at all. Its not the fuel pump cause i check.Its not the coil or the rotor or the battery..I still have Gas...But when i try to start it, it wont start at all..It cranks over but its making a noise, It making a popping noise.I change the sparks pulgs,wire.......
Need your help peeps..

I check the fuel pump it still works...But the popping noise comes from the intake manifold.My friend said my timeing is backward.
TOday i tryed starting it agian it wont start at all..Where is all the main relay in a crx?

check your starter

 

Gas that sits for a VERY long time can collect water and becomes stale. If nothing else, fill with fresh gas.

 

yea the gas could be a problem.

CHECK:

Spark
Fuel
Timing

Make sure u got fuel coming out of the injectors, make sure you have spark on all 4 cylinders, and make sure the timing belt didnt slip.

Put new gas in it and put in some injector cleaner too!

 

sounds like a fuel problem man check your fuel lines and what not or just put a fuel pressure gauge on your fuel filter

 

I no im getting fuel and spark because the car will run when push started. Im pretty sure its electrical because the engine wont even make a sound when i turn the key.

 

Okay, well b4 u did say the car would crank but not start, but make a "popping" noise. If u are getting fuel and spark, then u have to look at your battery. Make sure the terminals are clean and connections are secure. If even jump starting it won't work, then u may need to get a new starter. That "popping" noise may indicate a bad starter(starter solenoid to be more specific).

 

ya sounds like a bad battery or starter. have them both tested. if they come out good then i would say its either your starter relay or main relay.

 

If ya turn the key and nothing but the check engine light comes on, it could be a bad main relay, that happened to my 90 civic.
