Default d16y8 swap

i have a 88 crx si with a jdm d15b the car right now runs like shit due to the hf ecu that is installed i dont know why it has that ecu. The previous owner sucked and did a horrible swap the vtec doesnt even kick in cause its not connected. The fuel economy is horrible to. Here's the thing My friend has his 00 Civic ex that was in a accident but the motor has no damage he is willing to give it to me for the crx. So i have the d16y8 engine with ecu and the harness what else do i need to have to put it in my car. Some people tell me not to use that harness and get a odb0 to obd2 converted harness and some people tell me to get a p28 ecu and get a obd1 to obd2 jumper harness i would preffer to go the easiest way and not spend a lot of money on this swap. What can i do any one ever done this swap before? please help me i would greatly appreciate it

well you pretty much set up for the swap. all you need now is the conversion harness to your p28 if you still using your Si harness to your ecu. I do believed that the Si crx is a obdo.

use the Si engine harness - get a P28 ECU OBD1, along with distributor jumper and ECU conversion harness from Rywire
