This is my first swap so i did a z6 but im going to up grade to a b18c5 later on when money is good so take it easy,. if got all the injectors and the distridutor the fan switch all soderd and done i need help in how too wire up the vtec, and also on the a6 it has a knock sensor on the block what do i do with the wires and were is the mas air sensor on the a6 because the one on the z6 is on top of the trottle body but i running out of wires .

 

ummm.... theres no knock sensor on either of those motors that i know of. where is the sensor you're talking about?

the map sensor on the a6 is on the firewall. the map sensor on the z6 is on the throttle body. you can use the stock wiring harness connector from your car's wiring harness. just pull it out of the wire loom and connect it to the map sensor on the z6 TB.

 

the sensor is on the fire wall? Well i think its a knock sensor on the a6 on the back of the block.

 

yes, the MAP sensor for the a6 is mounted to the firewall. if i still had my EF i'd go take a pic.

and theres a lot of sensors on the back of the block.. take a pic of it if you can.. from what i can remember theres a oil pressure sensor, coolant temp, and i think one more. its been 7 months since i did this swap. :wiggle:

 

there right next too that black breather one the block they have big rubber boots that cover them

Then thats the thermoswitch... Turns on the radiator fans at a certain engine temperature... The one next to it is oil pressure sensor... The A6 has no knock sensor, same as the Z6... Only the DOHC VTEC engines have it, if I remember correctly...
