What would you do?
Would you buy a H22a4 or a LS/Vtec Swap? I really have not maid my mind on what to put the motors in a 89 Hatch or a 93 Hatch. I curretly have a the 89 hatch in my garage with no motor. But i have come across someone selling a 93 CX body with a awsome paint & job coilovers. What should i do? Please let me know the good/bads to help me make a choice. thanks

h22 in a eg chassis makes it understeer badly...you can tune it out with lots of suspension tricks but at the limit it'll still be worse than stock
anyway a b series swap into a ef chassis rex will be faster and better at the limit b/c the car comes stock 100-200lbs lighter on average
i suggest this to have fun...if you are looking at performance over a cool ride around town...get yourself a (88-91) crx si or civic si and mess around with the d16a6...there's lots of power hiding in the stock sohc and lots of people have found several tricks to cheaply increase power...also just gutting the car and getting lighter wheels helps tons too...but i'm a road racer (track) and that is the purpose of my rex

If you're going drag, I'd say drop the h22a in the 93 CX....it's pretty fast!!!!!!
But his idea of a road racer is great too. I've heard lots of people gaining alot of power from the d16a6. Some of the stuff surprised me.

If I had the money, I would do the H22/EG. Why you ask? Just so I could say I had one. Those hybrids are pretty quick, perfect 1/4mile cars, but a little less practical for the street... but it has been done. There are quite a few people running around now that seem to like their H22 hybrids, despite the steering issues.
