My stereo is, holy crap. It does make a difference. I had the old, 15 year old cables on there. Boy. You can sureley tell a difference. I was thinking about taking the stereo out for performance purposes, but now, not yet anyway.

How does removing your head unit help performance?

I've got about 5 grand in stereo stuff. Including a very heavy box and speakers in the back. That's what i was thinking about removing.

Oh, that makes sense, lol. Do you think the difference will be noticeable?

I bet my car would be alot faster if i take it out. It's at least 200 pounds or so. It's been in there so long, i really don't know how much faster it will be though. I've done almost all of my engine performance upgrades after putting in the stereo though, so i've never driven my car without the heavy stereo with all of the performance upgrades. I'd like to take it out to see how fast it really it, but it's going to be alot of trouble to do. Also, i really don't want to take it out because i've got so much money in it. It really makes a crx slow, with all the extra weight in it, i'm sure.
