Default 87 crx si

looking for a great engine swap on a budget..looking for 170+ hp..to race a buddies stock 90 2.0 eclipse. any ideas?? seen one of you guys talking bout a b16 170hp and 151mph and still pulling. what year and what out of? might work for me?

Get a black top zc (JDM 88-89 'teg) and turbo it with low boost. It's like 130 hp stock.

1st Gen CRX's take a LOT of work to swap anything into.

As my general rule, if you have to ask how hard it is, it's not for you.

That said, one of the "easier" swaps to do is a black or brown top D16 [or first gen ZC] from an early integra. Shoehorning a B-series into a first gen is not for the faint of heart.

It's even harder then a B16A if you plan on keeping the intake butterflies functional.

hasport makes a mount kit for a b series in the first gen crx. And you are in luck your car is fuel injected if it was carbed it would have been a nightmare. It takes some fabricating but i would get in contact with hasport.

now how much boost is low boost? like 7 psi? black top zc sounds like the ticket but with a turbo what should i expect for hp/or 1/4 mile times? used to do muscle cars this is a new area for me if you havent noticed

8 PSI max is usually what a stock Honda block can take reliably...

so like a stage one turbo on a d16 (zc) right..about what year integra and which d16 (ex d16yc)??
