Do you have to take off the front bumper to remove the resonator in a 91 crx si? That's the next thing i'm doing when i get a chance.

I read that the resonator is a box under the stock airbox. What is an exhaust resonator? I thought the exhaust only consisted of the header, cat, and muffler.

to get the intake resonator off jack up the car on the passenger side remove the tire, remove the fender liner, and the resonator should be visable, its held on by 3 or 4 10mm bolts good luck

Alright, thanks. Are there any benefits of removing the exhaust resonator also? I'm trying to make my car as fast as possible without the expensive mods.

the exhaust resonator is part of your B-pipe is welded on there so you would have to cut and weld a new piece of exhaust piping, not worth it, and you wont notice any HP gains

the air box resonater has a bolt right behind the turn signal that is difficult to get to. you can get it without removing the bumper. i removed the right headlight blinker and used a long extension and a universal fitting.
its mostly dead weight if your puttingin an intake. it has to be remover if using a CAI.

the exhaust resonater in just before the 's' bend in the exhaust. it just quiets down the exhaust. on my b16 i have two plus a straight through muffler, and the exhaust sounds deep, and at a practical sound level.

Yep. You were right. I used an extension with a swivel joint through the blinker hole to get that one out. I also drilled symetrical holes in the fog light hole(where a fog light is suppossed to go). I'm sure my intake gets much better air flow now.
