CRX Problems
Just bought a '91 CRX from a friend of mine. It has the stock block, but the head is a D16Y8.
The problem I have is three fold:
1) The fuel gauge doesn't work: fuel sender; relay; any ideas of where I can find the fuel sender (is it a part of the fuel pump).
2) The idler screw on the D16Y8 throttle body is frozen, meaning I don't idle, and I don't start that well. Any ideas of where I can appropriate one, even aftermarket performance. I don't intend to keep this setup, it will have a D16Y8 in it when complete, so an aftermarket Y8 TB will be fine.
3) Over heating: Anyone know where I could find the coolant hose that connects from the block to the head. I think there is a pin hole leak there...
I've been checking out this site for a couple of days now, and I'm thoroughly impressed.
Thanks for your help...

you say the head is a Y8 - are the intake manifold and throttle body also Y8? or does it have the Si D16A6 intake manifold? does the throttle body have the MAP sensor on top of it or is the MAP still on the firewall?

First of all, I tried the search function, and didn't find the exact answers I was looking for.
The intake manifold and throttle body are the D16A6, and I've searched Honda Acura websites, eBay, nothing for a CRX Si Throttle body.
I never thought about the head gasket leak being the cause of the coolant leak. Since I wasn't the one who put the Y8 head on, I can't be sure if the gasket was replaced or if even the head was torqued right.
I think the model I have is the HF, but I'm not sure. It was originally dual point, but now has the Y8 head, A6 TB and IM, LS 1.8 injectors and resistor, and a ZC computer.
I just want to find the TB for now, I'll worry about everything else another day. The plan is to have an LS motor dropped in with a 5-sp. cable tranny by February of '06, but I would really love to drive it in the mean time.
Thank you all for your help in this matter, I really appreciate it...
