I've searched but can't find any good info on the exact compatability of D-series parts, specifically performance parts for my '89 HF. Now, I already hear the advice streaming in "D15B6 is crap, don't waste your money" "Go with a ZC, D15Bxx, B16xx, etc". The reason I ask is I have a future plan to drop a VTEC D15B in it but if basic bolt-ons carry over, why not go ahead since the HF needs a new air filter and complete exhaust overhaul anyway? Generic CAIs can be made to fit with a trip to Lowes but what about headers? Most brands (DC, Hedman, etc) list only the Si and sometimes DX as models that fit. Will any 88-91 aftermarket header bolt up to the stock HF, will I need to modify it a bit, or are the heads too different (8V vs. 16V) to work? If not then do any other parts carry over to other D-series motors? I know thats a lot of questions but I haven't found anything so far that answers them. Thanks, Mak
