Your throw out bearing could be bad.

probably input shaft bearing in the transmission and not the throwout bearing - the throwout bearing only makes a noise when you depress the clutch, not with clutch pedal out - with pedal out, the throwout bearing is just sitting there doing nothing (unless, of course, you have a misadjusted clutch with no free travel) - with clutch pedal depressed, the transmission input shaft stops turning and if you have bad input bearing, the noise stops - let out the clutch and input shaft starts turning and with bad input bearing noise will start up

um, i dont think thats correct, i believe it is the throw out bearing that is making that noise not the input shaft bearing, but if u can show me otherwise please do so for future reference for myself

Does the noise stop as soon as you press on the clutch or does it stop a few seconds after? If it is immediate, then it is the throwout bearing. If it takes a while, the input shaft bearing is bad.

If you are going in to replace the throwout bearing, it would be a good idea just to replace the whole clutch while everything is apart.

Yeah, there is probably something internally wrong with the transmission.

I had a bad throwout bearing and as soon as you put your foot on the pedal, the noise would immediately stop.
