problem starting car!!

I have trouble starting the car if my deck is flipped up when i start it but when i flip it down the car starts up alot better.Is it my battery because the car does has trouble starting since i added the deck

you may have a wire grounding out somewhere behind the deck.. take it out and make sure that you have all the wires taped off!
