4-1 or 4-2-1

4-1 or 4-2-1
which is better for a d15b. i heard 4-2-1 had less back pressure so i may lose torque but if thats the case i think i have more tourque than normal anyways. so let me know which would overall be better.

I heard that 4-1 headers are better for torque, while the 4-2-1 type is better for mid-high end power. For the d15, I would go with a 4-2-1 one piece header. That's just my 2 cents.

I have a D15B VTEC with a Meagan 4-2-1 header, and love it... Performance and sound... I cant give any real before and after performance opinions because I installed it with my swap, so I never ran it stock... Personally, Id go with the 4-2-1...

I was always under the impression that a 4-2-1 would be best since, when they join into 2, there is a slight amount of vaccuum created onto each of the 2, which allows one or the other to flow more freely... kinda hard to explain I guess. I don't have any "life experience" with headers on a d series either.
