It sounds kind of like a vacuum at idle... And at high RPM its like a mild growl... Not ricey at all, just dont do the hollowed out cat, or some cheapie exhaust system... Thats what sounds ricey (like a pissed off bumble bee)...

Then I bought a new exaust, not to be cool, but out of necessity. My old one had no tail pipe and things fellout of the muffler every once and a while.

That exhuast should be fine... Its usually the buzz can style exhausts, where u buy a 'universal' tube and weld it on that makes a ricey sound... That or a hollowed out cat...

I Just got the intake!!!!!! There is 2 brackets and one looks like an L and one is striaght and 6 or so inches long. Where do these go??? Pix would help. BTW do you need the metal circle tighten things for the rubber vacuum tube?
