keep in mind that with the engine swap you need to also install a new wiring harness. if your not too mechanical this can be difficult. I can swap a motor in a few hours but the electrical can p*ss you off in a hurry

better yet, get a different car like a crx or civic even an integra. you could part your car out on ebay an make a profit and buy something else.

you're planning on spending a bunch of money on a swap for a car you'll probly grow out of in a few years. use that money and buy a better car.

if you don't care about the car. i've seen an article resently about budget racers or something. and some dude put a dodge 2.5L turbo in a little dodge omni. the car is small light and most of the parts are cheap and plentiful. if you take time and do a lot of research you can save a lot of time and money in the long run.

if you are head over heels for that civic lx, focus on maintenence (spark plugs, wires, cap rotor, oil change, fuel filter, timing). get new tires and upgrade the suspension. then upgrade your intake and exhaust.

handling and endurance are more usefeul then a couple horsepower.

hey dont sell that car i just picked one up for 1300 bucks in great shape already bought a b16 for it the first gen b16 completly stock makes that car run a 15.3 i bought it because its light nobody has an old civic in this body style thats fast and the b16 is tight also when u smoke an integra and u have a built b16 u can rub it in thier face not to dis integra guys but everybody has one thses days that or a hatch
