4wd crx with turbo b17a
my dream car at this moment
i found a 1988 4wd drive civic for sale and had a crazy idea
would it be possible to swap the drive train over to a crx?
because i want to build a kick ass auto cross car
money is not an issue but i would feel kinda dumb if this cost a crazy ammount
first question, would this be possible
and what could one expect to pay for just to convert the crx to 4wd
and assuming all this would be possible, how well would the 88 4wd civic drivetrain handle power?
thanks

No, it's not possible without a rediculous amout of money. For the same amount of money, you could probably mount an Evolution AWD system under there.
There is no point anyway, since the Honda Realtime AWD system only sends about 10% of the engine's power to the rear wheels MAX. The system can only be used with D-series engines (that's all it fits) and will brake at any decent power level... the rear axles are absolutely tiny.
BTW, good luck finding a B17A. They are the rarest B-series engine with about 3,000 ever produced.

there is an awd crx and awd integra...the teggy was done by BraileAutomotive, the crx was running a CRV drivetrain mated to a type R motor modified to run under the crx. It was crazy custom fab work and the thing blew out the rear end and drivetrain with anymore than 200hp
