Default Low End Power

I got my B16 and it is fast. The car seems kinda of slow until VTEC kicks in around 5K, so I want to improve low end power, so any suggestions?

That's just how they are. :chuckles:

It's a small motor, you have to wind it out to get it to move.

You pretty much can't unless you do forced induction, it's how they are, just enjoy winding it out everyday.

If you get a shorter final drive that'll help, that's about the only somewhat cheap way to make it feel better low end.

All that stuff will help top end power and probably hurt low end power.

You are into the wrong cars if you are looking for low end power.

Try a 4.40 tranny like I did, also make sure it is in tip top shape.

There really isn't much you can do. A 4-2-1 header might help.

ok I look into the tranny, and it is hard to find 4-2-1 headers for a B16, atleast for me. I am happy with my headers. Any other suggestions? and thx ED9man

Ok then what is the best mod to do to gain power (low, mid or high) beside turbo or supercharger?
