Default When I slam the gas the Car runs on 3 cylinders, why is that?

When I am driving, the car runs on 3 cylinders when i hit the gas harder. You can hear it work on for, then when you punch it, it gets a nasty growl and runs on threee and goes no where fast. I replaced the spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. When I changed all this it worked fine for about a month, then I took a plug wire offf to take the valve cover off to check somethin, and it is doing it again now. What is causing this?

since you did the tune up go ahead and check your compression.

I have had a few customer hondas that the valve cover gasket failed and oil got into the chamber, thus lifting the wire from the plug...weird but happens.

check seals, check your gap

sure its 3 cylinders? check timing.

Well, I went to the Advance Auto Parts, and I brought back the new wires I had just put on. I put the old ones back on my car, and it is running fine now. I ordered magstar wires, and got NGK plugs for my car. The guy said that the magstar 8.5mm core and the NGK plugs will def make a difference. The wires I had on the car were some crappy no name brand ones that worked like junk. We will see how the Magstar's and the NGK's turn out.
