Default taking front wheel off

Hi. I'm trying to replace a broken front wheel stud for the lug nut. The last step would be taking off the center axle nut, am I right? But it's on tighter than I ever remember a center nut being on. Just won't come off. This is first time I'm trying to take off the Honda wheel on this CRX. Any suggestions?

Don't remove the center axle nut. It is not necessary. Remove all lug nuts, remove wheel, bang out the broken stud, bang in the new stud, put wheel back on, torque lug nuts to 80 ftlbs.

Thx for reply. I will follow your advice. Makes sense. Usually, way back when I used to work on cars, Amercian cars, it was always very easy to take off the center nut, nothing like on the Honda.

Replacing a front stud on a crx is a little more complicated than you would think. From what i saw, you'll have to take the whole wheel assembly off the car. You will then need a press to press it apart. You will then be able to remove the lug nut stud. The rear, is alot easier.

Yes, to do it properly, you really should remove the entire knuckle and press the hub assembly out in order to replace the wheel bolt. You may want to check on your wheel bearing while you have everything apart. Technically it should be replaced every time the hub assembly is taken apart.

Have fun!
