Default 88 CRX Si OBD-2 conversion

OK so im almost done fixing my 88 CRX Si chasis and its time to think about an engine to swap in there. I was thinking of the JDM B16A but i kinda wanted to go with a USDM B18C1. I think my CRX is OBD 0. I was planning on doing an OBD 2 conversion so the B18C1 would work then getting a conversion harness to make it OBD 1. Now how hard is it to change the whole car from OBD 0 to OBD 2?

you should probally get an OBD1 GSR im pretty sure all you would need is an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion harness

the B18C1 came OBD1 from the years 94-96, it may have been 97 im not completely positive on that, but the second half of the 94-01 teggys were OBD2, the first half were OBD1

Yeah, stay away from OBD2...I switched my 87 to OBD1 and it is great. OBD2 comes with too many headaches.

Know your honda engines and what car they come from. The b17 is from the 92-93 US Integra Gsr,which is obd1.Yes they are somewhat scarce.

94-95 Tegs I know are OBD1,96+ i think are OBD2.
Just get a GSr motor from 94-95 and get the conversion harness. You should be fine.

Now that I'm seeing this I have a question. Does all this OBD stuff just relate to the head, ignition, and ECU? Cause if I'm gonna do a GSR swap then I have to get these components that are wired for OBD1? So am I right in saying that even if I got a newer B18C1 block I would need to get a head and ECU from a 94-95 GSR to stay away from wiring headaches? I don't really know which OBD version is best for tuning, I was just figuring getting the ECU with whatever GSR motor I end up getting then adding on the s200 Hondata system (They're coming out with an s300 system available August 1st). Can someone clear this up, I'm
