hmm yet another idea for me to look at my car is doing the same thing, no solenoid click, nothing..... just a slight hum that sounds like it's coming from the rear of the car. You didn't happen to notice a humming noise did you? Right now I'm leaning towards fuel pump, but now I have another idea to check out thanks.... Question though I would I go about determining if the fuel pump is bad?

Fuel pumps hum when they run. Your pump is probably ok. Power goes to the starter relay which sends power to the starter solenoid which switches power on to the starter motor. If solenoid no clicky, trace backwards checking for the source of the voltage loss all the way to the battery. Loose connections, corrosion, bad relays etc...

Default well you would typically get the hum

my hum came from my engine bay (fuel pump i would believe) and there was no solenoid click. It was prepping to start but since it was thinking that the clutch was engaged, it would not start. check you clutch swithces to see if they are burned out (if stock) or that the bolt is actually in place. i seriously doubt that it is your fuel pump or your starter relay, but then again check your fuse box to see if the fuse has not blown
