Default Buying

Hey all,

I am about to buy an engine. I plan on gutting my engine bay in my 1989 Civic si hatch. If I purchase the b16a JDM engine from this company, will there be anything I need to do besides get someone to install it? Will I need to replace the timing belt, etc? I am trying to get a picture of exactly what I need. I am getting the complete changeover. Has anyone else bought from these guys? I hear they are great. I want to make sure I am getting my money's worth. Any other suggestions?

Here is the link to the engine I'm buying:

its a good idea to change the timing and water pump while the engine is out the car already. Heard very very good things about Hmotors

You would seriously buy a motor from ebay? $1500.00 is not bad at all for a full swap.

1500 is great. change your clutch, TO bearing, pilot bearing, plugs, wires, gaskets and seals, WP, timing belt, timing belt tensioner, check the flywheel to make sure it is in good shape and machine as necessary, and obviously all fluids.

all the parts you need for this motor you can match the usdm part at hasport.com

do yourself a huge favor and get good mounts too (hasport is the best, expensive but saves in long run)

you can get the axles cheaper if you nab 1991 integra axels (yes they are pleanty strong enough)

use the si wiring harness and the sub-harness you will need too (like the Yoda style there?) (vtec sub-harness $75.00 at hasport)

DONT BUY CHEAP PARTS, BUY RELIABLE PARTS FROM REPUTABLE COMPANIES

The LSD is absolutely worth the extra $300. Do it now because you'll regret it later, the unit they put in costs twice as much when you buy it and it has to be installed.
