Default Big Problem need help quick

okay so I have a 91 CRX no SI or any of that fancy stuff. So we bought it used and it was burning oil so we rebuilt the head and got all new gaskets and all the good stuff. The head rebuild included grinding the valve seats and new valve seals i think or we had some guy completely overhaul my head so anyway we get it back on there and its still burning oil. The compresion checked out to be just fine. what else could it be? i've heard piston rings but if the compresion checked out wouldn't that mean there still sealing? the only other thing i could think of is a cracked block? WHAT COULD IT BEEEE!?
any help would be awesome
thanx
Bryan

Is there smoke coming from the exhaust at all? If there is the rings would probably be your problem if not I would have it checked out by someone local. Never assume the worst and don't try guessing at the problem. I had some serious problems with my car and several people here went for the worst case senarios right off. Turned out my converter was plugged......

I'm not going to be much help, but i'll tell you what i did to mine. It probably would have been better to just go ahead and get another whole used motor from Japan. That's what i did with my 86 CRX dx a long time ago when it started using to much oil.

I take it there is no leak. My wifes rear main seal is bad (so you can see the oil). I say the rings though. Same thing happened to me. How often and how much do you have to fill it up? A quart a week...500 miles...? Do you get any smoke out of the exaust?
