Default B16 Tranny or B18C1

I was wondering what would be the difference if I needed another tranny between a Gsr & B16A1. Would I need extra parts, ecu, axles or just get another B16A tranny. Thanks with any feed back. One last thing is the gearing different B18C1 vs B16A1. It'll be going in a 91 Si Civic. Thanks, Hollar Gingas

Since the B18C1 is a hyrdo tranny, and the B16A tranny is cable, youd have to fabricate a way to make the hydro tranny work in the CRX... Not sure exactly what is needed... But I heard its not worth the trouble...

Hasport makes the cable to hydro conversion for 88-91 civic/crx. I just sold my kit. I was using a 01 ITR trans and it was bad ass.

I would get the YS1 cable tranny...almost identical gearing to the ITR and complete with factory LSD. much better than the hydro open diff GSR tranny.

What's up fellas, do you know who sells the YS1 tranny & how much?Is the tranny the only thing needed & what about gearing? What is the RPm at say 80 mph? I know with the B16 tranny now at 80 is at 4000 RPm. One more thing what tranny comes with the B16 normally without LSD. Oh, also does your car redline at 8200 still with the YS1. Thanks for any feedback, Gingas

Why would the transmission change the redline?
