Default tranny from b20a work with b18?

does anybody know if you could use a tranny from a 88-91 prelude on a b18a from an integra. and if the gear ratio is closer than that of the ls one i have. I know the b16a tranny is closer, but they are harder to come by. Let me know

wont work, the B series in the prelude wasnt really a "b" series as you think of it. It was like a bastard step child of the B series.

It wasn't so much of a "non-B" as it is an earlier step in the evolutionary chain... think EV/EW to D-series here. The cranks are interchangable (for stroker "modern" B-series,) but that's it. No transaxles, no heads, nothing else.
