coolant temperature sensor

Does anyone know where this is on my motor and if it is part of the thermostat? see sig. Thanks

coolant temp sensors are on end of head below distributor - there are 2 - one for the gauge which has a 1 wire connector and one for the ECU which has a 2 wire connector - the one for the ECU gives you CEL code 6
