"I" wouldnt. alot of people choose to though and it does make a strong motor. If I were to turbo, which i wouldnt, id go non vtec. =P

Right. Boost is a way of compensating for the compression; all boost or a compression ratio does is cram more air and fuel into your same sized cylinder. The only reason to use boost instead of engine tuning to do it is because it's a LOT tougher (and far more expensive) to get equivalent performance all motor.
