Default Coolant leak????

Yesterday morning started the car to warm it up and it started dripping from the driver's side bottom of the motor. Is this where the water pump is? How hard is it to put a new one in?

It's most likely just your resivoir. I get drips there all the time. The actual coolant system is mounted on the front of the car. When it heats up, some of the coolant will over flow into the resivoir. Make sure the tubes are tight and the cap on your resivoir is tight. Check the seals on all the spots were tubes come out and go in. It's probably nothing too serious.

The timing cover is on that side of the engine, and inside it lurks the water pump. If coolant is dripping out of the timing cover, it's time for a new water pump and timing belt.

The coolant tank is on the opposite side that the leak is on, so I'm looking at a new timing belt and a water pump it appears.

I don't know what an 87 crx engine bay looks like, but be sure that it isn't something cheap and simple like your radiator or heater hoses. I own a 2nd gen crx, and none of my coolant-carrying hoses are on the driver side except the resevoir, so I'm going to guess that yeah, the seal around your water pump has been compromised. God does speed with the black emperor... or something... I mean, good luck

Took it to the shop this morning, the water pump is shot. $400 to replace the pump, timing belt, and valve cover seal. It'll be done tomorrow.
