A great guy who wrote a great tutorial on some of the fundamentals and physics involved in getting slideways.

Anyway, check it out most of the techniques he mentions can be used on a FWD platform, but of course, as always, there is less of an advantage then RWD has.

Last time I checked, oversteer was the name of the game. Understeer would make the car plow straight forward, oversteer is what kicks the back out on a corner.

I've watched quite a few FWD cars "drift." It looks absolutely rediculous, like someone running an autocross course with their E-brake stuck on... probably because that's exactly what they're doing.

your absolutely right about the fact that oversteer is actually whats happending, just being able to control it.

Yes, FWD cars look ridiculous when drifting, alot of people call it assdragging , or infinite powersliding, or whatever, but the fact is that it is still a technique used actively in drifting, including the D1GP racers.

e-brake "slides" in fwd cars cause bald spots on rear tires :P go get a couple mcdonalds serving trays and put them under your rear tires :P
