Default Yet another STUPID question!!!!

Ok I have another dumb question that I pretty much know the answer too but I want to be sure before I do anything, so here it goes.....My Civic is slanted to the right when you look at it(DRIVER SIDE). And whenever I go over speed bumps or any kind of bumps it makes this squeaking noise from the front driver side. I want to know if that is my suspension going bad and if it is what part of it???? I know its not my brakes or clutch or anything of that sort at least I dont think it is I am sure it is my suspension but I just wanna make sure!!!!!! THanks in Advance!!!

sounds like your springs could be bad (maybe even broken on that one side)...how much slanted is it?...you could take measurement of the wheel gap (gap between the tire and the fendor) on each side to make sure one side is lower

Well I know its low just by looking at it from the front. I mean all my tires are good cause I just got them all replaced about 3 to 4 days ago. But anyways I just checked them and it's a right at an inch difference from driver to passenger.

It sounds like your strut is bad and you spring is taking all the punishment. Go over some hard bumps and see if it clunks. if it does get some new struts. If it doesnt then your springs are prob. shot.

Agreed, it's between a blown shock and a sagging spring.

Well it doesn't clunk and I took a good look at my springs today and found out that it is just my springs gone bad....So I am going to go ahead and replace them and see if it works....But first I need to find out how to put new springs on since I have never done it myself ....... lol.....

It's easy, as long as you have a spring compressor.

hey i had the same problem, and i took my suspension apart in the front end and found out that on of the bushings that goes on the top of the strut was MISSING!!! putting springs on is easy and u dont really need a compressor either..but it would be safer.. just put weight on it and have someone unscrew the bolt making sure it doesnt hit anyone in the face HAHAHAHA!
