hey i had the same problem, and i took my suspension apart in the front end and found out that on of the bushings that goes on the top of the strut was MISSING!!! putting springs on is easy and u dont really need a compressor either..but it would be safer.. just put weight on it and have someone unscrew the bolt making sure it doesnt hit anyone in the face HAHAHAHA!
