plastic razor blades dont work too great, and hairdryer has never worked for me. If you have access to one, a pressure washer. A pressure washer will rip that sucker right off real quick. Just be carefull not to get too close to your paint and stay away from chipped paint. If you don't have access to one, use a regular razor blade, but use this with extreme caution. It of course helps to have detailing experience. If you don't want to do any of those then just use your fingernail, then use some 3m tar remover or equivalent and lots of elbow grease. Takes a while but worth it in the end.

a vinyl eraser works well... it looks like an eraser with a mandrel to put in a drill... you can pick them up at a auto body supply store and some part stores carry them
this is the best, quickest and safest way to do it

i used a razor blade on my si but that was only cause it was getting painted i need to get it off cleanly this time cause this ones body is almost flawless and the pinstripe is messing it up. Do detail shops do this kind of work.

I did say it was risky, I use metal razor blades all the time, and I have never chipped or scratched (cut) the paint. But I do have a lot of experience in the detailing industry so there you go. If you go to a detail/body shop they will most likely use a pressure washer.

****... my guy and i took the pin stripes off his CRX the other day.. all it did was leave a little bit of glue, paint thinner took it right off... and didn't hurt the shiny red paint either. I don't see why everyone makes it such a big deal, in our case those suckers came off quite nicely. After the paint thinner we put on more prewax and turtle wax.. you know.. keep the paint looking nice. But yeah... wasn't hard for us.

so you guys used paint thinner on the stripes themself or the residue left from the stripes. One side is stripping off but the other side looks new and won't budge. I'm using goo off for the residue but I need something for the stripe itself.
