Yeah, I caught that. I'm thinking maybe I'll go B18C1(GSR) instead of an H22A. A Type-R motor is too spendy for me at this point, if you can find one in decent shape. And for Cali, if I'm not mistaken, your swaps have to be USDM motors, not JDM.

What, do VA & CA have similar rules for that?

dude trust me on this.if you live in cali just get a usdm motor.it will save you a lot of head aches and problems later.yeah super chargers have a really annoying whize from the belt drive,i think the bv sound is a warning to every one who thinks there tuff shit around town.rev it up and let her breath it all out.trust me i have backed down from a lot of good races from the meir sight of a some what hidden intercooler.and the sound of a bov from an mr2 sent me packing.go turbo, there is so many different setups with turbos and yes some of the bigger turbos lag a little but if your running a gsr or b16 its not going to matter because off the line you still have the advantage of a high horse power motor in a little car.

No, you must have read that wrong. In VA you can use any damn engine you want, with few exceptions (Northern VA, NoVA, emmisions regs.)
