me and a friend were workin on his crx. juss had to bolt the tranny on put in a front axle and put on the tires. his dad said he had eveything else done. so we go out nd do all of this, go to start it, and it doesnt sound like the starter is engaging the flywheel. we look and it isnt bolted on all the way. we tightened it up and now its makin a little different sound so i think its engagin he flywheel but not the motor, cuz the motor doesnt even try to turn over. the starter is brand new. could it have been messed up from tryin to start it without bein all the way bolted on? if not whats wrong?

 

always check the basics... fuel, spark, compression ... i would say check them first... you might also want to check the ecu to see if you are getting any codes...good luck
