Default Trouble starting when wet

I just went out to start my car, and it won't turn over. It's turning strong and all but just won't start. It has been raining. It was parked for about 4 hours, and the hood was down and everything.

I have had this problem several times before, and every time is when it has been wet out side from rain and what not. I have never had this happen when it has been dry outside. In the past it has eventually started when the car dryed out a bit.

Any idea what might be causing it?

Gonna say the same thing here. Moisture gettin into the dist. cap...that's the only reason I can think of. Could go out on a limb on some other ideas if you have a functional hood scoop...do you?

replace it would be the safe bet, if moistures gotten to it, it's probably started to corrode a little.

I'll get a new cap and rotor tommorow. Should I just get an oem set from the dealership, or will the ones from autozone be just as good?
