Im starting to think tha rear hatchg isn't the cilprit here , does anyone know how/where the sunroof drains are , and could it be leaking through the rear squirter for the hatch , i wanna get a rough idea before i start ripping shit apart, it seems like its leaking onto the plastic and decencing onto where the rear hatch support bolts up , and when i get in the car and start moving around it starts pouring out .

the sunroof has a tube on each corner of the assembly. the tubes run down the pillars (if you look behind the rear wheel wells inside the car, you'll see it). i have the same problem with the water gettin into the plastic and leaking out of the hatch strut bolt location. i haven't had a chance to take the plastic off yet, so i'll let you know if i find the leak. hope this helped.

also watch out for the little rubber grommet i guess you can call it that takes the wires for the back winshield defroster and supposedly doesnt let water in... if thats not completly snug into place water can get in though the hole and it actually leaks right over the driver side speaker

Check where your hatch bolts to the body. Mine was rusted sorta badly and once I had the body fixed the water stopped coming in. This might be your problem

Default Had the same problem

I had the same problem here with an 89 CRX. Hatch was leaking right onto my passenger rear speaker.

I ended up replacing the hatch because my back window shattered (unrelated incident). When I put the new hatch on, I used silicone sealant on the bolts to the body and it stopped all the leaking.

Try pulling hatch off and using a rubber sealant on the 4 mounting bolts and hinge. It might help resolve the problem.

Good luck
