hey
kai is right. is that the trannie that came with the motor, in which you pulled it off and are now putting it back on? clutch alignment tool, did you use the correct one and was the disc properly aligned to the pressure plate before you torqued it? ask a friend to help a hand, when i did my first clutch replacement by myself a long time ago, it took me an hour to not get the trannie on the block, i asked a friend to help out (he lifted the block, myself the trannie) and after turning the whole trannie left to right while trying to slip it in, it mated (took only 3 minz with 2 people). good luck, 2 or more people are better than one sometimes, remember it takes a little effort and you may have to force it.

Hey Mason, It's TomO. Are you trying to install that ZC hybrid tranny? Just make sure that you used a clutch alignment tool when you bolted down the pressuer plate. And grab a second person to help, that is the fastest, safest, best way to do it. If you still are having trouble, hit me up on AIM: EF18a and we can talk about it.

Yep, it can be a real B-iotch to get a tranny in if you don't take off the front mount and even sometimes the radiator. It takes quite a bit of wiggling and jiggling to get that in. You will definitely like the end result though, that tranny pulled like WHAT when it was in my car, and shifted Ubersmooth for me. :af:

Just have someone get under the car and bench press it up and someone up above lining it up. The trick is getting it completely level or the splines wont' line up.

The last time I had to swap my transmission (blown countershaft input gear) I benchpressed it up and jiggled it in. It took a little while, but the splines eventually lined right up and it slid in all the way to the block. With a bit of arm strength and some patience, it's not that bad.
