Im looking around for a carbon fiber hood. How much weight does it acually save off the regular hood. How many differnt kinds are there? send sum pics if anyone has one. :awais:

i'm not exactly sure on this, but i think like carbon fiber one is 10-15 pounds, and stock is around 40. So it's not a huge difference, it's mainly for looks. It seems like fiberimages is a good brand, but i dunno, i don't have a carbon fiber hood

I dont know how much I like CF hoods. I've only see about one or two cars that it really looked good on... I'd only put one on if I was really concerned about weight. If its your daily driver and want a clean look don't do it. If you have your interior stripped go ahead... there are some pics here ( http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...8%26oe%3DUTF-8 ) ill look around and see if I can find a good looking one... but thats just my opinion.

vis zc hood is the best looking IMO. but they run about $450 and feel a lot lighter reguardless if it actualy is then stock.

any thing other then vis fades and turns brown. VIS is ur way to go.
