Default OEM Exhaust

I have an 88 Civic Sedan. The muffler rusted off from the rear axel back.

can i use an exhaust and pipe from an 88 Civic Hatch.

I want to go to the Junkyard and cut the exhaust off of an 88 Hatchback (10$!!!) i'm hoping that it fits my sedan

No, the hatch one should be shorter.

Sedans whole exhaust was longer than the Hatch or CRX. Hatch and CRXs muffler is the same but the rest of their piping is different.

Thanks for the heads up. I went to j-yard in Vineland NJ. They had alot of hondas. but no sedans like mine... this junkyard is huge. like 2 1/2 acres or something. lot of the more rare stuff some lancia's, fiats, peugeot, old school land cruisers, scouts...

are there any other mufflers that would interchange w/ my sedan? they had a couple 92-95 civic sedans up there.

if its just the muff, just buy a cheapie muff and have it welded on there.

or, you can try a different salvage yard. in a metro area like jersey, there has to be a few japanese-only junkyards that have tons of civics laying around.
