squeeky brakes help
when i brake, i get a squeeking from the rear. i have a 91 dx so iknow they use drum brakes, does it mean they are bad, or what is bad specifically? actually, it only will squeek when i brake under 10 miles an hour. so if im driving on teh freeway and brake to slow down, it wont squeel. but when i brake to a stopsign, as i slow to about 0-10 mph, it starts to squeel. what exactly could be wrong. i dont know anything about drum brakes.

When I heard noise coming from my rear brakes I took off the drums and cleaned them off with parts cleaner there was alot of brake dust and when I put the drum back on the noise was gone. It could be time for new brakes just check them out or have a shop check them.
