ok what year gsr header will fit on a b16 series? i need a 1 peice gsr header...it will definately help me out. only thing is i dunno what year i need, will a stock gsr header yeild good hp numbers, or should i go with an aftermarket? anyone have any ideas?

 

Any 92-01 GS-R header will bolt to the engine. The 92-93 is going to fit a wee better, because the B17A is based off the B16A block so the header won't stick down the extra 9 or so millimeters that using a 94-01 B18C header (based off the B18A block) would. You'll never notice a difference if you used a stock manifold, and in the case of the B17A, it is the pobably the exact same stock manifold as your B16A anyway.

Any aftermarket header will require modification to the rest of your exhaust system to allow it to bolt together.

 

is it simple modification? like cuttin a flange and rewelding? or do i need to crop some off my exhust side and remount a flange? thanks for the reply...

 

I couldn't tell you without looking, but the exhaust side would have to be lengthend or shortened depending on which header you choose.

FWIW, a del Sol VTEC header, any 90-01 Integra header, or a 99-00 Civic Si header can be used. They all use the same exhaust flange.

 

from what ive heard i 1 peice 4-1 gsr/itr header will produce most power for my application...i have a 2 peice that is killin me, its for an si/del sol..
