Hey! I got a quick question. I know that it is basically impossible to put a DOHC head on a SOHC block, but i recently read that you can put the 1.6 DOHC head (from an '87 acura) on a 1.6 SOHC block (from a '90 civic si) Anyone got any info on this or if it is possible anywhere I can get directions on how to do it? Thanks.

 

It's possible just it's not a direct mate I believe.

that is an awesome forum. I knew it could be done, but I've never gotten a straight answer as to what the snags are. I'm gonna start researching it. a ZC head would go perfectly on my freshly rebuilt D16A6 block.

 

I think he is putting the D16a1 head on a third gen block...I was wondering if it was possible with a fourth gen block (D16a6) Anyone know if it can be done?
