Default radius rod bushings?

my passenger side lower control arm is about 1/2"-1" too far back because my radius rod is back too far. when i had the crossmember off, i noticed that the rod moved around at the crossmember, and i think this is why it's too far back. has anyone had this problem or know how hard it is to change the bushings? my tire is about an inch from rubbing the back of the fender and i'd like a decent alignment for once. thanks.

That sounds liek something is broken. If you pick that wheel up off the ground, can you pull the wheel forward or backward in the fender well?

no, the rod is just back too far. i'm not sure if it was like that when it was on the car to begin with, but i took it off for my swap and then when i put it back on i had a hell of a time getting it to bolt to the control arm because the holes were too far back. when unbolted, the rod will wiggle around side to side, but not front to back. could bad bushings make the rod be pushed back? the guy that aligned it said if he adjusted it foward it would mess up something, i forget (possibly the toe).

Have you hit a curbs lately or any huge potholes my brother slid into a curb and bent the front crossmember and his wheel is about an inch from the fender also. The alignment shop said it was the crossmember that was bent, I got one from the yard but I haven't gotten a chance to put it on yet but it doesn't look to difficult.
