Default Wiper Pulse Question...

Hey guys...this is a two part question...first can it be done and second how difficult/how do I do it?

The wipers in my STD do not have the "pulse" option on them...but...the wipers in my Si parts car do...is this a possible swap?

Second, is this a difficult swap? Are there a lot of electronics involved, would I be better off having a mechanic do this? if it is not a difficult swap...
Has anyone done it?
Can anyone tell me how?

Let me know...thanks in advance...

Jason

Swap out the switch and the wiper control box that is attached to the underdash fuse box and it should work. I'm sure STD is still pre-wired for all that crap.

Not sure 'bout the pre-wiring but I'll check, what about the swapping of the actual "switch" and "arm" what is involved there? Is that a major mess or what? Thanks for the reply by the way...greatly appreciated.

umm...well i know the plug that has the pulse function on it also includes the corners and buzzer for the doors...i pulled it out a while ago so i didn't have to listen to the buzzing when the door was open. Dunno if that helps much...just kinda give you an idea of where the plug is on the si

By the way...here is the Si that I just bought as a parts car for my STD...first things first is stripping the rims and getting snow tires on my car...have already taken the mirrors as mine didn't work on the drivers side and I've never had one on the passengers side.

and here is a picture of the formerly red mirror...now black...on the passenger side....not a bad transformation if I do say so myself.

Jason

For some reason the pic didn't work...I'll have it up on my site soon and will post a link then.

Ok...not that anyone cares but...

Here is the link documenting the mirror transformation/conversion:

and I thought I'd throw this link on for those that live on more northern climes..."Winterize your car"!
