ok i have the same issue as my 97 3.0 cl dies at random times sometimes while im driving it will all of a sudden shut off and then i restart it and it goes... at times it will shut off in my drive when i start it... i have no check engine light... battery has been replaced, alternator is good.. someone said to check the fuel sensor or something of that sort. Has anyone else experienced this problem. I have even take it to the shop and they cannot diagnose anything. PLEEEEASSSE HEEELP>>>>>>>>>>

 

My car died while driving a few times as well, culprit was the ignition switch.....took it to Acura and turns out there was a recall on that!!

 

So after many months of repair and replace still my acura cl still shuts down on me after i drive it for a while . Then go to the store after driving, get back in turn it on and it spudders then shuts of i normally have to give it gas for about 20- 30 seconds and then shes good??? It think has to do with the fuel system or ignition , so I have replaced the distributor cap,egr, fuel filter, rotor ignition, new spark plugs And nothing?:rant: I will Replace the fuel pump next and clean the tank! Lets see and maybe my k& N filter too! by the time im done shell be better then new!:yay:

So im back again, new k&n filter, not the gas pump. I have been researching and found out about the exhuast manifold becuase of my EGR valve and Check engin code , online there is this Thermo block spacer! here is the site on the actual install its awesome.:woohoo:

So does anyone know, if im changing the whole rack and pinion should i change the outer tie rods too?? and has anyone done it on there cl. Thanks!!

 

So I like to keep this post Going becuase it has everything to do with exhaust systems on the cl everyone's problem "it stalls, it sputters, dies, low Idle, High idle, so I still have my check engine on and read up more and with the help of my bro" Sibluehatch..yooooooooooooooo... the PVC Valve famous on Honda motors for clogging up so I replaced it reset the Check Engine light will post again to see.

 

So Check engine came back on wasn't the PVC valve my new move is to buy the kit ,remove the manifold clean it out and reinstall , As for the rack n pinion got one and will install soon .

PS please what ever you guys do DONT:tsk: put LUCAS Power Steering leak fix in your Power steering fluid BIG NO NO will mes everything up hopefully I don't have to replace my Power Steering pump. Its really loud though!!!!

 

So after hours of reading and trying almost got the rack out but there are the two bolts for the high pressure and low pressure power steering lines the are a pain and THERE IS NO ROOM TO GET TO THE bolts EVEN WITH THE STEERING JOINT LOOSE IT WILL NOT FALL !!!!AHHHHHHHHHHHH try it in the moring.
