Default wew !!!!!

Ok I have a 92 Acura Vigor, the car was working fine for about 5 months, all of a suden it started taking awhile to start up but it always did it did this to me 3 to 4 times. I got my crank sensor changed and told my mechanic to check on this he checked everything from the map sensor to the fuel pump everything worked. Now when the car starts it idles low and I have to unplug the map sensor until it idles up and then i can plug it back. also the mechanic told me the computer is fine but when checked on his computer it gave the code 0 (no signal) can anyone tell me what the hell is going on with my car, he thinks it may be a short???

P.S. Also when the car starts you can smell the fuel it smells rich the car is not working properly it is burnig fuel like crazy!!! Please help me... Coctail

Have you tested the O2 sensor to see if it is within specs?

If your mechanic thinks it is a short, what does he plan on doing to fix it?

The only way to tell is to swap out the map sensor with another one, other than that, you are really guessing as to what might be wrong.

You might want to reset your computer and see if that helps. Just disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect.

Yo bro you'll never guess what it was? It cost me 68 cents to fix my car man, it was a faulty hose to the map sensor. It had gotten loose at the connection to the engine and this created a lack of pressure to the MAP sensor. The 0 code was due to the 02 sensor's wire touching the body of the car. Thanks alot man if I can ever be of assistance let me know peace. Coctail
