Default acura tl

hey everyone...currently i own a 93 vigor gs...but i am looking a a 99 and a 2000 Acura TL...I know about this transmission recall but i just wanted to know if the car is still a good car..did acura fix the problem with all of the tranny's? or will i regret buying the car? I test drove both of them and I absolutely love them, the tranny in both feel great..i am just looking for some opinions and how owners of the TL like them..thanks

Tranny is a hit or miss thing. I've had mine since 1999 and no problems. My brother has a CL-S since 2001 and no problems. As for the 4 speed vs 5 speed, you really need to test drive both and decide for yourself.

You'll want to get a 2000+ as the engine was substantially upgraded with the addition of a MAF and other things.
