97 2.5 TL crankshaft pulley
I was recently doing the timing belt job on my girlfriend's 97 2.5 and noticed a problem with the crank pulley. Apparently the bond between the outer sheave(the one that drives the A/C compressor) separated from the rubber insert that provides the dampening. Has anybody seen this before? The car has 98K on the odometer. Acura gets $300 for the pulley. Does anybody have a used one out there?
Thanks,
Mike

I am trying to replace the harmonic balancer/crankshaft pulleys on a 96 Acura 2.5 TL. Does anyone know if there is a special tool for holding the pulley still while loosening the bolt? Thanks

Yes, there's a crankshaft pulley holder made especially for honda and acura. You can find one on ebay for $40 and up.
The holder inserts into the pulley and has a hole in the center that allows you to insert a socket to grab the bolt holding on the pulley.
